FAQ

What Our Affiliation with the National Association of the Remodeling Industry Means to You!

1. Do you offer a guarantee on your work?
Yes. Your Construction Source offers a full two-year guarantee. If there’s a material or workmanship problem, we come back and fix it, free. Most contractors would rather customers not know this, but the state of Texas requires a ten-year warranty on all structural and foundational work, a two-year guarantee on delivery systems like plumbing and electricity, and a one-year guarantee on everything else. Your Constructions Source honors all of these of course, except we beat the last requirement by adding one more year.

2. How long does it take to get an estimate on a project?
Your Construction Source doesn’t give a bid; we give what we call a design. That means we don’t just hear what you ask for and start ticking away in our heads, adding material and labor and time. No. We work with you to design exactly the home renovation or addition you want and need. This process may take longer than a typical bid, but you will leave it with a dream become tangible.

3. How long does a project usually take?
Of course the length of time a project takes once we can start depends on the size of the project as well as unforeseeable circumstances like weather. However, with over 100 years of combined experience we work to get the job done in the projected time–the time you have in writing at the onset of the project. Even temporary setbacks and snags haven’t been able to hurt our record of timeliness. And we do it all without rushing or cutting corners.

4. Is Your Construction Source insured?
Yes. We have general liability coverage of $1 million. You will receive a certificate of insurance before we ever start your project.

5. Where can I get ideas for home remodeling?
Everywhere and anywhere. Look at your neighbors’ homes. Look online. A good place to look is in a home magazine. Just visit a local bookstore, buy the magazines with dream homes right off the shelf, and rip them out for us to emulate.

6. Am I responsible for obtaining builder permits from the city?
No. Your Construction Source obtains all necessary permits. If a contractor requires you to get permits, beware. A permit locks a contractor into a job. If he wants to stay in the city’s good graces and continue to work, he’ll finish your job and won’t run off.

7. Do you run your employees through a criminal background check?
Yes. We even put them through periodic drug testing. We use highly skilled conscientious technicians and your project will even be smoke/ tobacco free at all times.

8. How many years has Your Construction Source been in business?
We have been serving North Texas for 24 years now, having renovated and remodeled over 950 homes. We have almost 100 years of combined remodeling experience. We can interpret your home’s age, architecture, style, neighborhood concerns, market value, resale concerns, and design trends so you have all the information you need to make all the right decisions.

9. Do you offer financing?
Yes. Ask a design consultant about our affordable payment plan and start your renovation today.

10. Are your customers happy with the work you’ve done?
Yes. Without a doubt, yes. In fact over 80% of our business is repeat or brought to us by word of mouth.
